Meet the Founders
Healthy Futures Australia is the work of Dr. Kylie Armstrong and Simon Armstrong—a husband-and-wife team with decades of experience shaping healthier communities and systems. They combine their unique strengths to offer a mix of evidence-based research and real-world leadership experience, all while maintaining a personal, collaborative approach to every partnership they build.
Kylie is our expert in behavioral science and systems thinking, while Simon handles the practical side of executive leadership and governance. By blending research with hands-on experience, they create strategies that are easy to use, highly effective, and deeply personal—ensuring that every solution is both forward-thinking and practical.
Why Choose Healthy Futures Australia
01
SYSTEMS THINKERS
We see the whole picture. We understand how health systems, organisational cultures, and leadership structures connect. Our work focuses on root causes, not just surface symptoms.
02
EVIDENCE-INFORMED PRACTICE
We bring deep expertise in behavioural science, health systems research, and organisational design—without the academic jargon. Our solutions are grounded in evidence and tested in practice.
03
RELATIONAL APPROACH
We work with you, not at you. Clients describe us as trusted partners who genuinely care about their success and co-design solutions alongside them.
What our partners say
“Kylie’s human‑centred design approach, grounded in years of experience across primary and acute care, meant the Healthy Outback Communities model of care is truly anchored in community needs.”
Sandy Gillies, CEO, Western Queensland PHN
"Kylie’s expert guidance on systems and structures to support occupational wellbeing has been exceptional. Her systems thinking across environment, practices and individual supports has helped participating school leaders shape their work design and better manage psychosocial hazards."
Chrissie Mitchell, inclusive Education Advisor, Independent Schools Queensland
“Simon has been instrumental in driving our strategic direction, leading our Education and Welfare Committee, and strengthening our risk and compliance work. His governance insight and steady leadership have been invaluable to strategic direction of the school.”
